Fraxel Laser Step by Step
1 NO OBLIGATORY CONSULTATION
Your first step will be a complimentary consultation with our highly experienced Treatment Coordinators. Your full medical history will be taken and you will have the time to discuss your beauty goals and expectations. After having a thorough discussion about the treatment if you decide to proceed with Fraxel Laser, your Treatment Coordinator will book you in for a complimentary patch test.
2 MEET YOUR PRACTITIONER
Prior to the treatment you will meet your practitioner to get a complimentary patch test. This test will not only ensure there are no side effects but is also a chance to get an idea of the treatment. Your practitioner will be the one to decide whether you are the right candidate for Fraxel depending on the results of the test. If you are, then your next appointment for the full treatment will be booked.
3 DURING THE TREATMENT
Initially, your practitioner will apply numbing cream to the treatment areas to ensure your comfort. Fraxel Laser involves a handheld laser device that emits microscopic columns of laser at a precise deep level underneath the skin’s surface. It is ideal for treating a fraction of area each time leaving the rest of the tissue untouched. As soon as the laser beam touches your skin your body’s natural healing process will be kick-started resulting in the production of new collagen.
4 AFTER THE TREATMENT
After the treatment you should expect redness, sensitivity and a sunburn sensation. Over the next few days your skin will start to peel off, shedding all the dead cells and replacing them with brand new ones. Your practitioner will advise you on the homecare and type of products you should use after the treatment.
